Weight loss is a reduction of fat, bodily fluids, adipose tissues and lean mass inducing a reduction of your body weight. Appetite is an urge to eat and drink for pleasure. It significantly differs from hunger, because hunger is only felt if your body doesn’t have enough reserves to sustain itself and as a result signals its need for nourishment.

Appetite is often confused with hunger, but they are two different feelings with different causes. Hunger is a physical indicator that your body needs nourishment and it would prove unhealthy if you tried to fight it. Appetite, however, is essentially triggered by emotional factors and does not answer a physical need.

Indeed, when stimulated, the mouth is a source of comfort and pleasure, which is the reason why some persons enjoy chewing gum for instance. It is also mostly for the same reason that people like to have a cigarette in their mouths, or why they can have the impression of being hungry without actually needing food.

This comfort and pleasure might be unconsciously sought after by your mind when experiencing a stressful situation, which is the reason why stress and anxiety can frequently create the urge to eat. Our mind also frequently unconsciously creates associations between two actions, so that every time you do any of those actions your mind creates the urge to do the other at the same time. This is why you may have the urge to eat when sitting at a table, around friends or when watching television. Weight gain is also a usual side effect of many medications.

Even a small appetite issue can be severely disabling and a possible health threat. Not only can it make you gradually more anxious about your physical appearance, but it can also endanger your health on the long term. Excessive appetite can be responsible for obesity, respiratory difficulties, high blood pressure, musculoskeletal problems, and cholesterol and potentially lethal diseases like cancer, diabetes and gallbladder disease.

Having control over your appetite would allow you to readily get significantly healthier and get back in shape. You would not have to continually worry about dieting anymore, nor about the nutritional properties of what you eat. You will be able to choose what you eat, when you decide to.

Many different drugs claiming to help ensure control over appetite or favor weight loss have been offered on the market over the past few years. Several of these miracle drugs will at best solely have a placebo effect. Others have had more significant results but often also were withdrawn from the market because of their dangerous side effects. A lot of those pills have a chemical structure related to that of amphetamines and have the same adverse effects. But there are also natural methods to achieve weight loss which, do not have any adverse effects, like weight loss

A lot of people will tell you that solely exercise or diet are efficient in order to lose weight. This is true to a certain extent, nonetheless it is hardly possible for an active individual to keep a diet or find the time to exercise and it is also hard to find the motivation to do so. Furthermore, neither dieting nor exercise can fight the psychological factors triggering appetite. This means they won’t diminish your appetite, and that you will have to suffer from this desire to eat constantly, without being able to satisfy it.
